Sergio Mariani is a talented musician who has been calling the United States his home for the past three decades. With roots in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sergio enjoyed a prosperous musical career there many years ago. He played a significant role in the Electronic Music movement during the early 1980s.

Since the artist's return, he has been actively involved in recording and collaborating with renowned artists Cousin Silas, EISENLAGER, Daniel Vickers, Federico Balducci and Gabriel Dellarosa. Together, they have been exploring a diverse range of ambient electronic-based sounds.

Ever since the release of Secret Place in 2018, the artist has been undergoing peaceful and introspective journeys, primarily characterized by slow-evolving synth textures. Occasionally, stringed instruments such as the guitar or zither make appearances, with everything being heavily processed throughout. Sergio Mariani skillfully uses the lap steel guitar and other evocative instruments. With just one chord emanating from their strings, they can suggest entire worlds, bringing to mind the likes of Harold Budd, Brian Eno, and Daniel Lanois.

We had the pleasure of meeting the artist who participated in The 88 Notes - series 2 project. His captivating composition, titled "Titan Moon Of Frozen Welcome," is featured in today's release.

Cassini, is a beautiful and enriching journey to immerse yourself in. Everything flows gracefully and effortlessly, offering an experience that truly uplifts the soul. A collection of four tracks, like brushes on a canvas, capturing the essence of being alone in space, 750 million miles from home, and infatuated by the ringed giant. The album serves as a testament to the artist's inspiration drawn from his research on the Cassini/Huygens mission. The recording took place during the challenging days of 2019 and 2020, while the artist was traveling between New Mexico and Colorado.

Track 1, Lander Huygens
Lander Huygens, a robotic space probe built by NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Italian Space Agency (ASI), was carried by the spacecraft Cassini to accomplish its mission. On January 14, 2005, it became the first spacecraft to successfully land in the outer solar system, specifically on the surface of Saturn's moon Titan. This track is dedicated to the hardworking men and women who played a part in the Huygens mission.

Track 2, Titan Moon of Frozen Welcome
On January 14, 2005, the Lander Huygens, a robotic space probe built by NASA, ESI, and the Italian Space Agency (ASI), successfully landed on the cold surface of Saturn's moon Titan. This achievement was extraordinary and somewhat solitary for this robotic spacecraft.

Track 3, Saturn's Exposé
Cassini was the fourth probe to visit Saturn and the first one to enter its orbit, where it stayed from 2004 until 2017. During this time, it revealed the secrets of the sixth planet from the Sun to humanity.

Track 4, Diamonds Raining
There has been speculation that rainfalls of diamonds occur within Saturn's atmosphere due to chemical compositions, heat from friction and pressure. The beginning sounds of this track are actually Cassini's transmissions to Earth.
